Silva Promoted to Key Agfa Post |

Ruben Silva becomes VP of Sales & Service for Agfa Graphics North America. He served as the company's Managing Director for Canada over the past couple of years, after joining Agfa in March 2006.
 Silva has more than 20 years of experience in the printing industry. Prior to joining Agfa, he held both technical and sales management positions at Presstek Canada, AB Dick, Itek Graphics and Gestetner. In his new roll, among other duties, Silva will help to oversee Agfa's integration of New Jersey-based Pitman, which it purchased in October 2010. After the acquisition, Pitman had around 500 employees and 16 locations in the United States.
"Ruben has an impressive background in developing new opportunities for sales growth in many areas of the professional graphic communications industry, as well as a deep understanding of the elements that drive the print business. He is a valued member of the team," said Peter Wilkens, President, Agfa Graphics, North America.
