KBA North America has named Mark Hischar as its new president and CEO. Hischar will officially begin his new post on October 1, 2009. “I am honored to begin my new post at KBA North America at a time when the company is poised to enter a new growth phase,” says Hischar. “With its corporate workforce all under its new headquarters in Dallas and with its long term strategic vision in place, KBA continues to partner with its customers and offer the widest and most diverse portfolio of printing presses, and highest level of customer support and technology development. I look forward to leading the company ahead as a top-performing customer-oriented manufacturer in both sheetfed and webfed presses.” Prior to joining KBA North America, Hischar was the president, CEO, and board member of W+D Machinery Company, an Overland Park, KS wholly-owned subsidiary of a German manufacturer of envelope manufacturing machines. His experience also includes a post as president and CEO of Royse Manufacturing Company, a manufacturer of auxiliary equipment for offset printing presses as well as an executive at Matthews International Corporation, a manufacturer of prepress services and printing plates for the flexographic printing industry. Hischar holds an MBA from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh and a Bachelor of Science degree in management from Pennsylvania State University where he graduated with cum laude honors.
