General Information
PrintAction magazine, Canada's only monthly publication for the graphic communications industry, is proud to recognize excellence in Canadian environmental stewardship across the print-based communications supply chain, from the progressive decisions by clients and agencies to the technological initiatives by printers and vendors. Now entering its third year, the Environmental Printing Awards are a beacon in showing that the industry genuinely cares about its impact on the environment.
Unlike typical awards programs, several Environmental Printing Award categories focus on processes and, therefore, must consider projects that have been running for several years. Companies are encouraged to submit ongoing projects, but the submissions must demonstrate significant development within the period of eligibility, December 1, 2006 to November 30, 2007. Under these conditions, last year's winning and non-winning submissions can be submitted.
Projects initiated in the period of eligibility will be considered in their current stage of implementation. Such new projects will receive more favour if the submission includes clearly outlined goals and future plans.
Multi-facility companies are encouraged to submit projects on a specific facility basis when applicable. This holds true for the Most Environmentally Progressive Printer in Canada category, where either the overall company or a specific facility can be entered based on number of employees.
Below are the categories for this year's awards. Please see the entry guidelines for explanations of each category and for specific instructions on how to enter this year's Environmental Printing Awards.
