ASL Print FX Wins World Label Award
ASL Print FX, formerly know as All Stick Label, of Vaughan, Ontario, was named as the Best of the Best in Flexographic Printing during the World Label Awards in Brussels, Belgium.
The World Label Awards was founded in 1991 as a way of recognizing world-class label printing. The Association behind the awards program represents label printers in all parts of the globe through seven national and continental label associations.
These seven associations submit their best labels from their own national/continental contests for the Best of the Best global contest. Awards are presented in five print technology categories, including Offset Lithography, Letterpress, Flexographic, Digital and Combination printing.
ASL Print FX' label for the Rennie Estate Winery 2009 Gaia was submitted by the TLMI (Tag and Label Manufacturers Institute) as the North American entry for the Flexographic Printing category. Describing ASL Print FX’ wining project, the World Label Association stated, “This label pushes back the boundaries of what flexo printing can achieve. The FM screening gives the country scene a tranquil and soft look." The high-end job also includes dome lacquer registration and cold foil stamping on the label.
The five Best of the Best awards were presented during the Labelexpo Label Industry Global Awards event held in Brussels on September 24.
