Printing industry veterans Matt Adler and John Kulak have joined Goss International’s packaging team, which the company describes as an example of its continuing transformation and diversification into new markets.
Goss International’s interest in the packaging market primarily revolves around its Sunday Vpak web offset press platform. This includes the Sunday Vpak 500 and Vpak 3000 web offset press models for folding carton, flexible packaging, pre-print and label applications are available in web widths from 20.5 to 75 inches (520 to 1905 mm) and print at speeds of up to 1,500 feet (457 metres) per minute.
“We are diversifying our product portfolio to drive revenues in new, neighbouring markets where our expertise delivers differentiating advantages,” stated Jacques Navarre, VP of Sales and Marketing. “Matt and John know the industry and can support our vision of enabling packaging producers to achieve lower costs, higher print quality, more precise colour consistency, and faster turnaround times with Sunday Vpak web offset technology.”
Matt Adler joins Goss as Director of Sales for packaging products in the Americas. He will also assist in managing the Goss sales and support network in the region. Adler was most recently a national account manager for packaging and label producer Printpack in Atlanta, Georgia. From 1991 to 2007, he held executive and management positions with the Fort Dearborn Company in Illinois, one of the largest label producers in the United States.
John Kulak becomes Manager of the recently opened 7,000-square-foot Goss Packaging Technology Center, a demonstration, test and educational facility at Goss headquarters in Durham, New Hampshire. He has close to 30 years of experience in the implementation, management and optimization of printing technology. Kulak also spent time as a production coordinator for newspaper publisher USA Today and a senior technical associate for print production at The Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT).
