A+A Graphics Installs Jeti Mira

July 4, 2017  By PrintAction Staff

A+A Graphics Canada of Toronto has installed a Jeti Mira MG 2732/HS from Agfa Graphics Canada. The wide-format six-colour UV LED flatbed printer opens up new applications for the printing company, owned by Ara Sahakian, who recently moved his operation into a larger 15,000-square-foot production facility. The new space is four times larger than A+A Graphics’ former location.

For 13 years, A+A Graphics Canada has been a full-service commercial printer offering everything from graphic design, business cards and letterheads, labels and web design, to e-commerce solutions, branding and channel letters, among other applications. The company’s primary focus, however, has always been wide-format.

“There were so many things that attracted me to the Jeti Mira,” said Ara. “First was the extremely high-quality colour output. We’re now able to present prototypes to many more marketing firms to win over their clients’ business. In fact, we can now offer exceptional prototypes to other different markets we didn’t attempt to go after previously. Also important is that we now use larger sheets and larger tables. The Jeti Mira allows us to produce quality large-format full-colour printing at high speeds on corrugated – many of them short-run jobs.”

The Jeti Mira reaches speeds of up to 231 metres square per hour via its dockable roll-to-roll extension. The moving-gantry flatbed can output up to 2.69 m-wide prints, and features LED curing and 3D Lens Technology for 3D printing. It produces print quality in six colours (CMYKLcLm) and white, with optional (3D) varnish or primer. Its 7-picolitre ink droplets are driven by two rows of Ricoh inkjet printheads.
