July 10, 2020  By PrintAction Staff

Domino Printing Sciences has named Alberto Sanson as its new chief information officer following the retirement of Dick Wallin, who was the company’s group IT director for over 20 years.

“My goal is to build upon what Dick has already achieved in transforming Domino’s global IT organization into a trusted business partner, delivering an IT strategy that aligns with and moves the larger business strategy forward,” said Sanson. “The role of the IT leader continues to evolve; it is no longer just about maintaining systems, but instead driving innovation in processes, behavior and how we apply technology.”

He added that the company’s objective is to improve customer experience and operational efficiency.

As CIO, Sanson will be responsible for leading Domino’s IT team as a key member of the Domino Executive Leadership team. As an experienced IT leader, Sanson has a strong track record in driving strategies to deliver business results, as well as managing and developing global teams. Sanson joined Domino from Illinois Tool Works, where he held the position of group IT director for the company’s US$1.7 billion construction segment. He has also held positions of increasing IT leadership responsibility at global industrial and technology companies.

“I am delighted to welcome Alberto to our Executive Leadership team and wish him every success in his new role,” said Robert Pulford, Domino’s CEO. “His in-depth experience of leading sophisticated IT functions in dynamic industrial and technology businesses will be invaluable to us in the rapidly-changing times in which we operate, allowing us to build upon our already strong foundations and support our objectives for an agile, sustainable and innovative global business.”
