“With the acquisition of Schmid Rhyner, we strengthen our technology competence in this area,” said Thorsten Kröller, president of Altana’s Actega division. “It enables us to open up new markets and application areas, especially in the fields of flexible packaging and digital printing. We are pleased to welcome our new colleagues. Together, we want to offer our customers an even broader and more custom-fit solution and product portfolio in the packaging and printing sector in the future.”

Swiss-based Schmid Rhyner was founded in 1880 and operates a U.S. subsidiary in New Jersey. The company has almost 80 employees and sells its products in over 100 countries worldwide. In 2018, the company achieved sales of approximately 50 million euros.
