Hemlock Printers has appointed Amanda Chor to the role of Sustainability Coordinator. Reporting to President and COO Richard Kouwenhoven, she will work with all aspects of the organizational structure to maintain, develop and promote effective initiatives that reduce the company’s impact on the environment.

Chor recently completed her Bachelor of Business Administration at SFU Beedie School of Business, along with a certificate from the SFU Corporate Environmental and Social Sustainability program.

“Amanda brings a fresh perspective, exceptional energy and focus and a clear passion for incorporating sustainability into business operations,” says Hemlock VP Sales and Marketing Doug Climie. “We are excited to have her help us accelerate and communicate our efforts in reducing our corporate GHG emissions, improving our waste reduction efforts and optimizing our selection of environmentally progressive papers. In addition, we see her as an important ambassador to our customers, sustainability partners like Offsetters, Canopy and Climate Smart, and the many communities in which we are so active.”
