Dr. Peter Lechner has been appointed the new CEO at Koenig & Bauer Flexotecnica, succeeding Christoph Müller, who moves to the company’s supervisory board as chairman.
He previously held leading positions at companies in Germany, the U.S. and the Czech Republic.
“Dr. Peter Lechner has many years of experience in the field of flexible packaging. He will continue on the positive path of Flexotecnica and achieve our ambitious goals,” says Müller, Flexotecnica supervisory board chairman and member of the executive board at Koenig & Bauer.
According to a company press release, Flexotecnica says it intends on making the best possible use of Koenig & Bauer’s service and sales network and expanding its flexible packaging activities in the coming years. Flexotecnica explains it has improved the technological level of its presses over the past 18 months and expects its existing product portfolio to expand, noting a new press will be introduced to the market by the end of this year.
