Avanti Holds User Conference

June 6, 2011  By

Toronto-based Avanti Computer Systems Ltd., a software developer of print-management applications, recently wrapped up its 19th-annual user’s conference in Washington, DC.

The 3-day conference was sponsored by some of Avanti’s technology partners, including Xerox, HP, Gimbel and Associates and Pageflex. Avanti President and CEO Patrick Bolan focused his keynote speech on automation, integration and cloud computing, saying: “Printers are re-defining themselves and their business management software has to change to help them do so.”

The conference also included various break-out sessions for Avanti customers and key presentations from Sappi, Print Art and the Printing Industries of America association.

Attendees were also given onsite tours of local-area shops running Avanti, which included spending time at the U.S. Senate print shop and Alexandria-based Global Printing.
