Book Manufacturers’ Institute launches new public website during COVID-19 crisis

The Book Manufacturers’ Institute (BMI), has created a new public website to aid the entire book industry during the current health crisis.

BookManufacturers.org operates as an online forum for sharing information and resources, as well as updating the industry on supply chain. There is also a Status page that updates users on the status of manufacturing operations.

“BMI has always been focused on helping the entire industry in any way we can,” BMI executive director Matt Baehr said. “Member or not, we want to assist the entire book manufacturing industry in weathering this storm. This new site will be full of resources as well as help to answer the question of who is open for business.”

BMI will be updating the Status page as new updates are reported. Non-members can contact BMI to be added to the list. The Status page is focused on book printers, binders, warehouses, and distributors.
