CFTC Holds Fundraising Golf Tournament

July 3, 2012  By

The Canadian Flexographic Training Committee held its 31st Annual Ontario Roll Label Golf Tournament in June, an event aimed at raising funds to expand awareness of flexography.

Held under threatening skies at the Nobleton Lakes Golf Club in Ontario, the event brought out industry notables such as FTA President Mark Cisternino, FTA Director Jay Kaible and FFTA Chairman Gregg Platt, as well as retired Flexo Hall of Famer Dave Horsman.

Students from Ryerson University’s 2012 Collegiate Phoenix Challenge team aided the event’s fundraising efforts by staging the putting contest. The 1st & 2nd place 2012 High School Phoenix Challenge winning teams from Mississauga Ontario’s Gordon Graydon Memorial Secondary School were also on hand, displaying their work that has swept all major student awards this year at both the FTA’s Excellence in Flexography Competition as well as the TLMI’s recent print competition.
