In a move designed to increase its capacity, diversify its product offering, and keep it up to date with recent technology, Westfield, Mass.-based Dion Label Printing has purchased the third MPS flexo press, an EFA+ 430 fully automated multi-substrate press.

“As a leader in the narrow web printing industry with both digital and flexographic printing capabilities, we continuously strive to deliver the highest quality service and product while pushing to innovate,” John Dion, president of Dion Label, said in a statement. “With the addition of this MPS EFA+ 430 multi-substrate press, our aim is to keep our technology up to date and enabling greater capacity and diversity in our product offerings. This press offers greater automation and LED curing capabilities.”

The partnership between Dion Label and MPS began in 2008 with the purchase of an EF 410 with special functionality of interchangeable mandrell sizes. The same technology was applied to its second press, an EF 430.

Founded in 1969, Dion Label provides printed label solutions. It serves the narrow web printing industry with both digital and flexographic printing capabilities. On its website, Dion Label describes itself as the GMI certified printer in the U.S. for both digital and flexographic printing.
