EM Plastic, Grimco and Mediatech to distribute Océ Colorado 1640

Canon Canada has announced partnerships with EM Plastic & Electric Products, Grimco and Mediatech to sell the Océ Colorado 1640 printer.

These partnerships, Canon Canada explains, will provide large-format graphic printers with UVgel print technology for the growing graphic arts industry. “With its unique levels of print speed, quality and automation, and low cost of operation, the Océ Colorado 1640 printer will set new performance benchmarks for the graphics industry and complement our partners’ current offerings of products and services,” says the company.

For close to 50 years, EM Plastic & Electric Products has served Canadian sign manufacturers and printers with customer service and quality products. Today it operates nine locations across Canada and supplies plastics and electric products to a range of industries, such as sign manufacturing, print, interior/exterior lighting and design, construction and fabricating.

Grimco is a national wholesale sign supply manufacturer and distributor with over 50 locations across North America. Its offering of sign supplies includes traffic signs, blanks, substrates, boards, digital print media, wrap films, sign vinyl, application tape, banner material and supplies, sign frames, banner stands, LEDs and electrical accessories, grand format solvent/UV/latex printers, inks, software and more. Its Canadian operations includes locations in British Columbia, Alberta, Nova Scotia, Quebec and Ontario.

Based in Laval, Que., Mediatech is a distributor specializing in medias for wide format printers with water-based, eco-solvent, solvent, UV curable and latex inks. Its range of products includes poster paper, banner material, polyester backlit film, self-adhesive vinyl, canvas and fabric.

“Our new partners will leverage their ability to educate customers on how UVgel technology will help increase their print production, lower operating costs, increase application range, add further automation into their workflow, and ultimately enable them to profitably grow their business,” says Patrick D’Souza, Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Professional Printing Solutions Group at Canon Canada.
