Eclipse Colour and Imaging Corp. boosted its 70,000-square-foot Burlington, Ontario, plant with Canada’s first enhanced HP Scitex FB7600 industrial press, which now includes a Scitex White Ink Kit for producing display graphics.
Eclipse Imaging is a large-format printing company that specializes in high-quality retail displays, signage, transit, packaging and out-of-home advertising. Back in February 2010, the plant was purchased by Ralph Misale and Grant Malcolm from the American giant Adams Outdoor Advertising.
“As a business we are always looking to tap new markets and revenue streams and we believe that the FB7600 will allow us to do that,” said Ralph Misale, Chief Operating Officer, Eclipse Imaging.
The new HP Scitex FB7600 with a new white-ink channel provides more capability to produce display graphics on clear or coloured materials. HP Scitex FB7500 and FB7600 machines include extra print head beams, which allow the white ink kit to be added without sacrificing process colours.
The large-format inkjet system prints on a range of flexible and rigid substrates and corrugates up to 25 mm (1-inch) thick, using its HP’s proprietary GREENGUARD certified inks – engineered for outdoor longevity.
