EFI, at Graph Expo 2012 in Chicago, introduced what it refers to as a new generation of software in the Fiery FS100 Pro, which is to be commercially available for the first quarter of 2013.
At the same time, EFI announced that FS100 Pro received the industry’s first 100 percent compliance certification from a VIGC audit, which tests the rendering of PDF/X-4 features.
Fiery HyperRIP, according to EFI, is central to the performance gains of Fiery FS100 Pro. HyperRIP splits individual files so that they can be processed with multiple interpreters simultaneously to reach the print engine much quicker – EFI states 40 percent faster than most current systems.
Fiery JobMaster is a new make-ready tool that allows operators to assemble complex documents, when working with issues like visual tab insertion and design, page editing and numbering, page-level ticketing, importing, and modifying scanned pages into jobs.
Fiery FS100 Pro also includes JobFlow, which is a browser-based application to automate file processing routines, as well as Fiery Ticker and integration with the newest Fiery Command WorkStation 5.4.
