SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR PRINTING CATEGORIES, D1 to D14

    1. Please refer to the Awards Entry page at CanadianPrintingAwards.com for making final submissions, which includes filling out an online Company Information form and payment.
    2. Eligible companies/facilities must be located in Canada.
    3. Projects must have been produced between September 1, 2023, to August 31, 2024. Project outside of these dates won’t be considered, and the entry fee wouldn’t be returned.
    4. Please note that previously submitted entries will not be considered and entry fee will be forfeited.
    5. Reruns and reprints won’t be accepted.
    6. Self-promotional projects won’t be accepted in these categories.
    7. Complete the Project Production Section of this form.
    8. TWO complete copies of the project must be provided for judging (please contact ncaleb@annexbusinessmedia.com for single-copy submission exceptions).
    9. Mail this form with the print projects to the following address. The samples must reach no later than September 18, 2024.

• Discuss how fine details were accurately reproduced in the project
• Explain the level of craftsmanship and attention to detail displayed in the project
• Justify the choice of paper or substrate and its suitability for the project’s purpose
• Explain how the texture, weight, and finish of the chosen paper or substrate enhance the design
• Discuss the compatibility between the paper/substrate and the chosen printing process
• Highlight the sustainability aspects of the substrate choice, if any
• Describe the effective utilization of special effects
• Explain the high quality and precision achieved in the finishing techniques
• Discuss how the enhancements applied elevate the overall visual appeal of the print job.
Describe key challenges or achievements in producing the project that you have not covered in the above sections. This may include the use of coatings and inks, prepress, press or post-press techniques, or any other important strategic or technological details about producing this project

(Award finalists will be notified in October. The Canadian Printing Awards Gala will be held Thursday, November 7, 2024, at Palais Royale, Toronto.)
