Ernest Green to Distribute swissQprint

Ernest Green & Son has been appointed as a new Canadian distribution partner of swissQprint inkjet printing systems, which have been sold in the United States through wifag//polytype for the past five years.

With its range of large-format inkjet systems falling under the Oryx, Impala and Nyala model brands, swissQprint reports that 22 of its systems have been sold in the United States and Mexico. Two of swissQprint printing systems have been delivered to Canada, including Ernest Green’s demonstration machine in Toronto, an Impala, and one Oryx system that was installed with a customer in Montreal back in January.

swissQprint’s entry-level Oryx system features a 2.5 x 1.5-metre bed and eight colour channels using print-heads with 512 nozzles. The Oryx is rated for a maximum speed of 70 m2 per hour.

The high performance Impala and Nyala machines both feature nine colour channels and 1,024 nozzles per print-head. The 2.5 × 1.6-metre Impala reaches a top speed of 190 m2 per hour and the 3.2 × 1.6-metre Nyala reaches a top speed of 200 m2 per hour.

Founded more than 50 years ago, Ernest Green continues to hold a distribution presence across the country, focusing on a range of printing hardware and software. Over the past five years, Ernest Green, has also focused on building its knowledge and portfolio of large-format inkjet systems.
