February 19, 2020
200 Galcat Dr., Vaughan, Ont.

There is a vast array of software that operates most equipment in a printing plant, yet collecting and utilizing this data in a cohesive way often does not happen. At the February 19 meeting, a panel of software developers, vendors and printing plant users will discuss some of the options available to close the loop on data collection, and how to then implement the data to provide Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), accurate “on the fly” estimates, and machine data that offers shop control worthy of being “imperative data.”

Moderated by Marc Raad of Significans Automation, the panel will include EFI whose MIS leads the industry with machine ready data; Tilia Labs, a software development company that leverages artificial intelligence and smart technology to drive faster, more accurate estimating, planning and manufacturing; and Motionalysis, an OEM that has integrated its CAD standards into digital finishing systems. Motionalysis has closed-loop data collection as part of its DNA. There will also be senior production personnel from printing plants to talk about what data is the lifeblood of their plants.
