Fujitsu Components America has launched the FP-2000CL, a high-speed, direct thermal printer that can print cost-effective linerless labels and paper receipts and was developed as an alternative to multiple printing tasks within a number of applications.

The new printer can generate removable labels to expedite and ensure accuracy of orders and deliveries and identify container and product contents at casual restaurants and grocery stores. It can also print checkout receipts, customized coupons and special offers for retail or restaurants.

The printer, which measures 5 x 6.8 x 4.9 inches, features a top paper exit and can accommodate a wide range of paper widths (50/58 and 80 mm) and stock thickness (84µm linerless labels, 65µm-85µm receipt paper). It can print up to 230 mm per second and its cutter has a lifespan of up to 1.5 million cuts.
