On May 30, Gala Gutenberg celebrated 37 years of print excellence in the ballroom of the Bonsecours Market in Montreal, Que., with more than 470 members of the print community.
In total, 12 awards were presented to a range of printing companies from the province of Quebec. This year’s gala included the Coup de Coeur Award again, where attendees were invited to vote for their favourite piece during the cocktail party.
“Our industry is really dynamic, and this gala has proven it once again. People of influence from all over Quebec have converged, in this wonderful room…not only printers but [those] passionate about printing, management, finishing, programming, finishing, sales, packaging, marketing and more,” says Gilles Blais, President of Précigrafik and Co-president of Gutenberg 2019, who says that in the digital age, print continues to be an impactful medium. “The industry is surpassing itself.”
