Primary Color adds Onset X2 press

June 26, 2018  By PrintAction Staff

The recent addition of an Onset X2 UV flatbed inkjet printer with full automation has expanded Primary Color’s production capability.

Established in 1984, Primary Color is a print service provider that produces marketing products and solutions for a variety of clientele, including restaurants, automotive, retail, financial institutions, entertainment industry and museums. It operates locations in Orange County, Los Angeles and Toluca Lake, Calif., Atlanta, Ga., and Shanghai, China.

“The colour gamut on the Onset X2 is amazing,” said Dan Hirt, president, Primary Color. “It allows us to achieve a tremendous end-result with its litho-like ink finish. And we have the ability to print two-sided in perfect registration.”

Hirt says the firm opted for full automation because it provides “better reliability from front-to-back registration.

“We are now more successful with our longer-run work consisting of materials that are not easy to manage by hand, especially heavier materials to the very flimsy materials that could get kinked. We are amazed at the various substrates it’s able to handle – we are more efficiently handling materials with automation on the front and back of the press,” he says.

The Inca Onset series of inkjet presses are distributed exclusively in North America by Fujifilm North America Corporation, Graphic Systems Division.
