Graphitek Installs HP Scitex Fb700

Graphitek of Victoriaville, Quebec has installed a new large format HP Scitex Fb700 printer. Graphitek specializes in large-format printing, especially for kiosks, but also offers digital and laser printing, printing on cars and graphics services. The company has has been in operation for 10 years. 

“We chose this printer because we do a lot of printing on rigid materials. The width of the printer provides us with more flexibility in the size of materials, and the print quality is still excellent,” says Nathalie Castonguay, who, along with her mother, founded Graphitek. “The 98-inch width will let us print large formats more easily, with less handling, and thereby improve speed and performance. Printing on glass or with white ink is another innovative function, which will set the company apart from the competition.”

In addition to the large width, Castonguay also attributes the environmental design of the machine as a major factor to the purchase. “In the past, to print on Coroplast, we had to first print on a thin film of vinyl, which was then affixed to the Coroplast. This step is eliminated with the new printer, meaning we can print directly on the Coroplast.”
