FESPA Expands Floor Space

January 14, 2014  By PrintAction Staff

FESPA announced plans today to expand its show floor by 4,000 square metres for its upcoming exhibition in Munich, Germany, May 20 to 23, 2014. Show organizers are describing this event, which primarily focuses on large-format production, as its FESPA Digital event to date.

FESPA has now extended the gross exhibition space to 37,000 square metres, branching into Hall A2. The exhibition is currently already 10 percent larger than the sell-out Hamburg, Germany, event that took place back in 2011. With four months to go until the show, FESPA has the capacity to grow the exhibition by a further 12 percent.

“FESPA Digital 2014 is our biggest Digital event yet and the largest event being delivered in the market in the next four months,” stated FESPA CEO Neil Felton. “This landmark underlines the positive trend towards suppliers taking larger stands to showcase an even wider range of product innovations to FESPA visitors.”

Felton continued to state that FESPA’s 2014 return to Munich follows successful event for FESPA 2013 in London and the organization’s track record of high-performing FESPA events across central Europe. Founded in 1962, FESPA is a global federation of 37 member associations for the screen printing, digital printing and textile printing community.

“FESPA Digital Hamburg 2011 was a sell-out show, with all available space being committed by March, two months before opening,” stated Felton. “With FESPA Digital 2014, we reached the same point by the end of 2013, with five months still ahead of us. It’s a very encouraging indicator of the market’s confidence in FESPA, and of the growing optimism in the sector.”
