Graphic Resource Inc. has been appointed as an authorized reseller of Kodak’s Versamark D-Series imprinting systems. Operating out of four locations in the United States, Graphic Resource will also sell the Versamark DS6240 and Versamark DS9100 into Canada.
As part of the reseller agreement, Graphic Resource, in addition to providing training for Versamark customers, can also sell turnkey solutions, including imaging towers and inline finishing systems.
“We are in the midst of many changes in this industry, not the least of which is the strategic enhancement of offset technology with digital capabilities,” stated Davey Teague, President of Graphic Resources. “Adding the Versamark D-Series Imprinting Systems to our portfolio helps us to build solutions for our customers that maximize existing infrastructure while opening new revenue streams.”
The Kodak Versamark DS6240 is a 4.27 inch (10.84 cm) printing system with resolutions of 240 x 240 dpi at speeds of up to 1,000 feet per minute (300 mpm). The Versamark DS9100, with a 9-inch printhead, can print at speeds of up to 1,000 fpm (300 mpm) at 300 x 300 dpi. The DS9100 can be integrated in-line with an offset press.
“These products are ideally suited for a wide range of applications, such as direct mail and variable-data or transactional printing, and are very much in demand,” stated Jerry Miller, Kodak’s GM of Digital Printing Solutions for the U.S. and Canada.
