Messagepoint today announced it has expanded its Canadian presence with a new office in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ont.

The location is part of the Toronto-based company’s planned global expansion, having also recently opened new offices in London, U.K. The Kitchener-Waterloo office will act as Messagepoint’s technology hub specializing in artificial intelligence (AI) research. The office is located at Catalyst137 – a new, purpose-built technology accelerator situated 3 kms southeast of the University of Waterloo and about 1 km west of Google’s new Kitchener headquarters.

“We’re thrilled to be part of Kitchener-Waterloo’s thriving and talented tech community,” says Steve Biancaniello, CEO of Messagepoint. “Our newly completed office is one of the most entrepreneurial and progressive working environments we’ve created. Our location in the heart of Kitchener-Waterloo’s innovation district represents our commitment to the region as one of Canada’s major centres of innovation.”

The company, which develops software and services within the customer communications management market, describes Kitchener-Waterloo as Canada’s fastest growing market for technology talent. Meanwhile, nearby Toronto is the fastest growing tech market in North America and home to Messagepoint’s world headquarters.

“We’ve learned a lot from this vibrant tech region, and I believe we’ve captured its essence within our new Kitchener-Waterloo office,” says Biancaniello. “Not only was it important for us to showcase our market leadership with our new space, it was critical that it provided an environment that inspired and motivated our teams to be creative, innovate and have the freedom to experiment with the latest research and development in AI technology.”
