PDS Pressdown is now distributing a new version of the DigiXpress system, which is traditionally regarded as a device for printing envelopes.
The new system, called DigiXpress Hybrid, moves beyond four colour printing with an additional ink channel for applying either white or clear toner, while producing a maximum 1,200 x 1,200-dpi resolution.

DigiXpress Hybrid also has the ability to print on substrates of up to 360 gsm (16 point) and to apply transfer applications like T-shirts. PDS plans to sell three versions of the DigiXpress including Lite, Bold or Hybrid, which collectively allow for printing on envelopes, business cards, heavy magnets, labels, stationary, banners and T-shirts.
