Pressdown Services Inc., known as PDS in Canada’s printing community, has changed its name to Print Digital Solutions and will continue to brand itself by the initials PDS. The company explains the name change to Print Digital Solutions more accurately describes its modern market focus.

Pressdown Services Inc. was founded in 1984 and initially positioned itself in the Canadian printing community by servicing and rebuilding offset presses. The company then helped lead the printing industry’s turn toward digital printing and finishing technologies, primarily around toner but also inkjet in the Greater Toronto Area.

Over the past several months, PDS has signed on new country-wide high-profile distribution and service agreements with technology players Duplo, Mutoh and Oki, in addition to continuing its agreements with Triumph and Ryobi, among others.

PDS President Dave Kisiloski explains PDS is focusing more on higher-end commercial printing operations, primarily with its recent Duplo and Mutoh agreements, while continuing to support its well established customer base of small- to medium-sized printing companies.
