Ryerson GCM Celebrates Student Achievement

November 18, 2014  By By Martin Habekost

On Thursday, November 13, Ryerson University’s School of Graphic Communications Management held its annual awards night. Over 150 people including students, parents, friends and industry representative came to see the large number of students that had won scholarships and were recognized for their academic success.

The Deans’ list, which requires a GPA 0f 3.67 for the previous academic year, was 47 names long. This is an impressive list. In total close the $89,000 in awards and scholarships were handed out to 67 students. A bit more than half that amount came from the CPISTF or Canadian Industry Scholarship Trust Fund. Student Samantha Tully received $5,000 from CPISTF for the highest incoming high school grade point average. It was a very nice evening and a few students went home with multiple awards.
