St. Joseph Communications has announced that it has signed a multi-year agreement with Canadian Geographic to oversee production, circulation, and promotion of the magazine.
“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Canadian Geographic,” says Tony Gagliano, Executive Chairman and CEO of St. Joseph Communications. “Bringing together capabilities from our media and print platforms, we are providing a unique publishing solution to one of Canada’s most iconic brands.”
Effective October 1, 2011, the agreement will see all the roles outside of editorial and art for Canadian Geographic and Canadian Geographic Travel be allocated to St. Joseph’s Toronto office. Canadian Geographic is published six times a year.
“We are looking forward to working with St. Joseph Communications’ team of seasoned professionals in the years to come as we continue to expand our publishing activities,” says André Préfontaine, Executive Director of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society and President and Publisher of Canadian Geographic Enterprises.
Canadian Geographic was first published in May 1930 and is the official publication of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society. The Society’s mission is to make Canadians more geographically literate.
