swissQprint America now covering Canadian market

June 7, 2019  By PrintAction Staff

Available this September, the Karibu roll-to-roll UV inkjet printer delivers a maximum print width of 3.4 metres and features a lightbox next to the printing area for on-the-spot inspection of backlit prints.

Swiss manufacturer of large-format printers swissQprint says it is now servicing the Canadian market through its U.S. subsidiary after a “mutually agreed termination” of the partnership with Cansel/Cobalt.

Illinois-based swissQprint America is now the contact partner for customers in Canada when it comes to swissQprint products and services, saying that Cansel/Cobalt is concentrating on a different line of products, and as such, the two companies agreed to terminate the partnership. There are local sales and service representatives in Canada, while the showroom and warehouse are located in Elgin, Ill.

The UV inkjet printers are 100-percent developed and manufactured at its Switzerland headquarters. The range includes five modular flatbed printers in different productivity levels. This past May, the company launched its first dedicated roll-to-roll printer, Karibu. It will have its debut in North America at Printing United in Dallas this October.
