Hemlock Adds Heidelberg XL 106

August 13, 2013  By PrintAction Staff

Hemlock Printers of Burnaby, British Columbia, shot a six-week time-lapse video of its now-complete Heidelberg press installation, a Speedmaster XL 106, equipped to run both conventional and UV inks.

The company describes its new Speedmaster XL 106 as holding expanded potential for packaging projects, because of its ability to print with UV inks. The press carries a maximum sheet size of 29.53 x 41.73 inches and reaches a top speed of 18,000 sheets per hour. The XL 106 press premiered at drupa 2012 in May and is manufactured by Heidelberg with a neutral carbon footprint.

“Providing print communication solutions in today’s business environment requires ongoing investment and a bold vision of market needs,” stated Jeff Taylor, Hemlock’s Senior VP of Manufacturing and Operations. “Our new XL 106 meets those needs head-on through added efficiencies and capabilities which our team is excited to offer to our clients.”
