IMS Adds Label Printer for Eastern Canada

June 12, 2012  By

Montreal’s Identification Multi Solutions Inc., which services and distributes product identification and labeling technologies, has added the Memjet-driven Colordyne CDT 1600 C printer to its product line. IMS has been named as the machine’s distributor for Eastern Canada.

“We identified this need a while ago, but we spent time looking for the right printer in terms of price, quality and speed,” stated Jean Éthier, President of IMS. “When we presented the printer at the Bakery Showcase earlier this month, the visitors were impressed with the speed and the colours, which convinced us that we had made the right choice.”

Based around Memjet’s inkjet technology, the Colordyne CDT 1600 C makes labels that are two to 8½ inches wide, have a resolution 1,600 ppi and a maximum speed of 12 inches per second. “Colordyne has joined forces with IMS to develop the market in Eastern Canada for the CDT 1600 C,” stated Gary Falconbridge from Colordyne, USA. “The reputation of IMS’ products and services was a decisive factor in the creation of our partnership.”
