Infografilm Installs Second Acuity

November 6, 2012  By

Infografilm, led by owner Patric Farand, added a second Fujifilm Acuity Advance 2504 inkjet system into its Vaudreuil-Soulanges, Quebec production facility, which is focused on providing graphic design, display graphics and finishing services.

The new Fujifilm Acuity Advance 2504, driven by a ColorGATE RIP, uses UV piezoelectric variable-dot, grayscale heads to jet ink drops from six to 30 picoliters. The system is based on a stationary flatbed for full-bleed printing on rigid substrates, measuring 49.2 x 98.4 inches. It can handle substrates up to 1.89 inches (48 mm) thick. Express-mode printing provides a top speed of over 377 ft2/hr.

“Since we installed our first Fujifilm Acuity press, we’ve seen strong demand for the high quality results we can produce,” said Farand. “A second machine allows us greater flexibility to produce even more work.”
