Aulward Graphics of Hamilton, Ont., has an installed an Anapurna M2540 FB from Agfa Graphics, as well as an Esko Kongsberg table. The Anapurna is a flatbed UV inkjet system designed for printing on rigid substrates. It features a quickchange vacuum bed technology with six colours (CMYKLcLm) plus white ink, jetted from 12-picoliter print heads.
In what is defined as Express Mode, the Anapurna reaches speeds of 45 m2/h (484 sqf/h), while Production Mode hits 26 to 28 m2/h (279 to 301 sqf/h), Poster Mode 15 to 17 m2/h (161 to 182 sqf/h), and 8 m2/h (86 sqf/h).
Tracing its roots back to 1967, Aulward Graphics, built around sheetfed-offset production, provides a range of services in addition to large-format inkjet, such as digital printing, full bindery, fulfillment, design and die-cutting.
