Custom sticker producer StickerYou opts for SEAL 62 Pro S Laminator

Founded in 2008, StickerYou of Toronto, Ont., produces a range of custom products including stickers, labels, decals, iron-ons, wall murals, magnets and temporary tattoos.

The company had an old GFP laminator which would not run effectively, it had skewing issues which led to the prints being ruined at the laminator – Laminate adhesives weren’t bonding properly to the media, creating a lot of silvering, it explains. As a result, StickerYou was reluctant in using heat assist because the team had no confidence in the laminator.

GBC Canada offered the SEAL 62 Pro S Laminator as a solution since it came with heat assist leading to high quality output. The purchase comes just before the grand opening of StickerYou The Store, a brick-and-mortar retail location in downtown Toronto.

“SEAL 62 Pro S has made a big difference in the way we laminate. We particularly liked the fully adjustable temperature of the top roller on the laminator. Utilizing and adjusting the top roller temperature, along with speed and pressure settings we are now at a true production pace,” says Ward Stewart, Director Production Operations at StickerYou. “With the new SEAL unit, we are able to laminate 200 feet rolls in a roll-to-roll application, something we could not achieve before.”
