Delphax Solutions completes Elan HD upgrade at Prime Data

Digital inkjet press designer and manufacturer Delphax Solutions has completed a major upgrade to the new Elan HD platform at the already installed system at Prime Data Inc., located in Aurora, Ont.

Prime Data, it explains, is the first company to field upgrade its existing Elan system to DSI’s new Elan HD platform, designed to provide quality and production benefits against other digital production devices.

“Steve [Falk] and his team at Prime Data were pioneers in selecting the original Elan system for the variable digital printing of direct mail, and this proved to be an excellent platform for their needs. I am extremely pleased to be able to continue our partnership with the upgrade of their press to the Elan HD platform with the benefits that it will bring them,” Richard Lee, CEO of Delphax Solutions, says.

Driven by Memjet’s VersaPass technology with true 1600 x 1375 dpi CMYK printing, sheet sizes from 8” x 8” to 18” x 26” on a range of weights, with throughput of up to 500 letter impressions per minute, the Elan HD is suitable for both variable and short run publishing applications.

“Having used the Elan successfully for three years, we were excited about the new release.  Our clients are already benefiting from the higher resolution, increased colour range and efficiency,” Steve Falk, President of Prime Data, adds.
