Quebec printing company Précigrafik is seeing “significant increases” in its production capacity, thanks to the addition of its new RMGT 7 series LED-UV 5-colour offset press. The new system also allows the company to better penetrate the growing packaging market.

“Our new RMGT 7 series war machine has increased production capacity by 30 percent while generating impressive energy savings. The press prints at speeds of 16,900 sheets per hour, and since it’s equipped with LED-UV technology, the ink is already completely cured as is reaches the delivery, even at full speeds. As part of Précigrafik’s eco-friendly commitment, the LED-UV system provides a safer and cleaner workspace, it can print with no ozone pollution, heat, odour or powder sprays,” says Gilles Blais, President of Précigrafik of Sherbrooke, Que.

With the acquisition of the RMGT 7 LED-UV press, Blais says Précigrafik can better offer its clients a variety of opportunities to differentiate themselves in the digital age where the consumer is exposed to thousands of messages and businesses are more than ever faced with the challenge of sustaining their brand.

“In order to attract and keep the attention in a crowded world of digital information where we are daily solicited, print remains a privileged point of contact to create an experience. Our technology park along with our new RMGT press makes possible all the creative daring of our customers who want to think outside the box to deliver a memorable experience to their customers through print,” he explains. “The future of print is based on the ability to stand out and innovate.”

The RMGT 7 press was purchased through KBR Graphics, the exclusive Canadian distributor of RMGT presses.

“Throughout the years, KBR Graphics and Précigrafik have worked together on many projects and have developed a long-lasting relationship of partnership and trust. At KBR, we are thrilled to see them grow and extend their production capacity, efficiency and environmental responsiveness and look forward to seeing them continue on this path,” says Karl Belafi Jr., Vice President at KBR Graphics.

Earlier this year, Précigrafik celebrated its 30th anniversary and also moved to a new $4.5-million, 22,000-square-foot plant, more than double the size of its previous facility.
