The Prolific Group of Winnipeg, Manitoba, has installed a new AMS LED-UV system on its 10-colour Komori LS 40 perfecting press. The LED curing system was sold to Prolific by Komcan Inc. of Georgetown, Ontario, which began to distribute Air Motion’s LED UV and UV curing technologies in Canada in May 2015.
“It is an exciting time for Prolific. We are strong believers in always bringing new products and technology to our clients,” said Tom Wilton of Prolific Group.
The Prolific Group was founded in 1975 in a 200-square-foot basement and has since become one of Western Canada’s largest printing operations. The company runs a range of presses from sheetfed offset and web offset to digital systems, in addition to bindery, direct mail and fulfillment services.
“Prolific has always been very conscious of taking care of our clients’ needs. The new LED-UV will allow us to continue fulfilling and even expanding our capabilities with the faster turns and effects UV inks offer,” said Al Alexandruk of Prolific.
