Kapta Installs Acuity Advance

October 23, 2012  By

Kapta, a display-graphics printer based in the Québec City area, added a Fujifilm Acuity Advance system to its large-format inkjet production. This is an upgrade installation for the company, which purchased Fujifilm’s Acuity 2504 inkjet system four years ago.

The Acuity Advance purchased by Kapta includes the white-ink option for inline printing, while working with rigid substrates measuring 48 x 96 inches. Also available with a roll-to-roll option, the UV piezoelectric system reaches production speeds of over 233 ft2 per hour and, employing variable-dot grayscale technology, an apparent resolution of 1,440 dpi.

In conjunction with the Acuity Advance install, Kapta also upgraded its wide-format RIP to a Colorgate system. Kapta produces a range of display graphics from custom made display units and commercial work to in-store and billboard applications.
