Konica Minolta Enhances bizhub PRESS

Konica Minolta Business Solutions has launched a new line of enhanced toner-based presses for colour and monochrome production within its bizhub PRESS series, including the bizhub PRESS C1070/C1070P/C1060 series and bizhub PRO C1060L.

The new series of presses build upon the company’s existing bizhub PRESS C6500 series and bizhub PRESS C7000 series machines. The new bizhub PRESS feature the fourth generation of Konica Minolta’s Simitri HDE toner, as well as what the company classifies as Screen-Enhancing Active Digital (SEAD IV) processing.

The bizhub PRESS C1070 runs at 70 pages per minute in both colour and black-and-white, with a monthly production volume rated at 330,000 pages and a 7,500-sheet maximum paper capacity. The bizhub PRESS C1060 runs at 60 pages per minute in both colour and black-and-white, with a monthly production volume rated at 280,000 pages and a 7,500-sheet maximum paper capacity.


The bizhub PRESS C1070/C1070P/C1060 series and bizhub PRO C1060L include new paper handling, which includes air-assisted paper feeder options (PF-602, LU-202) with two variable-speed blowers on front and back of their trays to reduce paper jams.



In addition, an optional air-suction paper-feed unit (PF-707) traditionally found on higher-output devices. The new presses also feature support for the Adobe PDF Print Engine 3 rendering platform.
