Labels Unlimited of Winnipeg, Manitoba, has purchased a Xeikon 3030 press to support its production of pressure-sensitive labels, tags, film and laser sheets, as well as other types of packaging.
Founded in 1985, Labels Unlimited has expanded three times and now employs close to 50 people. The majority of the company’s customers come from Western Canada, but the production team services accounts across North America, ranging in sectors from the food and beverage industry to hospitals and pharmaceutical businesses.
“Virtually everything we do is custom,” stated Larry Chartrand, General Manager of Labels Unlimited. “What do you want? We’ll make it.”
With a production team that holds more than 85 years of collective experience, Labels Unlimited often builds projects from the ground up, in terms of design, which can result in a need to produce unique labels of various shapes and sizes, using temporary or permanent adhesives and other variables. Chartrand notes Labels Unlimited’s production is well suited for the Xeikon 3030.
The Xeikon 3030 is the narrow web entry-level press of the Xeikon 3000 Series. It has a variable web width ranging from 200 mm (7.9 inches) up to 330 mm (13 inches). It runs at a top speed of 9.6 metres per minute (31.5 feet per minute) and can handle production volumes of up to 190 square metres per hour (294.5 MSI/hour).
