Lecta limits CWF production, shifts to specialty paper

Lecta is ceasing the production of coated woodfree paper (CWF) in its​ Condat mill (Le Lardin St Lazare, France) due to a strong decline in the graphic paper market.

Lecta plans to solely focus on the production of specialty papers, glassine and C1S on PM8 of Condat mill, in which it invested through a conversion in 2021.

Additionally, Lecta is currently investing in an RDF boiler to improve energy efficiency in PM8 and reduce the mill’s carbon footprint. The RDF boiler will be operational by mid-2024.
