Cosmo launches sterilizable conduction sealing film

January 3, 2019  By PrintAction Staff

Cosmo Films, a provider of specialty films for flexible packaging, lamination and labeling applications as well as synthetic paper, is introducing sterilizable conduction sealing film for wad and lidding applications for PP and PE containers, explaining the film can withstand high temperatures during the sterilization process, thus helping to increase product shelf-life.

The clear sealing film is corona-treated on one side and heat-sealable film on the other side. The film, Cosmo Films says, boasts “exceptional seal integrity” and peels cleanly without splitting.

Designed to be safe for direct food contact, the film can be used as a mono layer or as a sealant layer in a laminated structure with other substrates like aluminium foil, the company adds. It can be used in roll or pre-cut form (after lamination with other substrates) based on the requirements of the customers. The film is best suited for dairy product applications for flavoured milk; food and beverage segment for juices, energy drink and bakery products; pharmaceutical industry; agro chemicals; and cosmetics industry.
