Pikto in Canada sees “significant conversions” with Taopix

Pikto, a well-known producer of photo products in Canada, is experiencing a real boost in conversions after switching to Taopix as their photo personalisation and gifting software provider.

“Pikto was founded in 2003, and we’re artists with a shared love of photography and craftsmanship,” said Pitko president Andre Souroujon. “During the last 16 years, we’ve handcrafted millions of photo products including high end photo albums and photobooks, décor, cards and photo gifts. We have a wide range of customers including commercial print customers, photographers, hobbyists and consumers.”

Souroujon said that Pikto heard about Taopix in 2009, “and at the time we used a very simple type of software. We monitored Taopix closely and saw that they were constantly developing and adding new features. We knew that it would be a good fit for our business to move to Taopix eventually. Ultimately the ease of use for our customers, and the smooth creation and purchasing journey is what made us decide to switch over to Taopix.”

As an e-commerce business, Souroujon said, Pikto wanted to ensure that its software was not causing friction or points of frustration for its customers, but rather supporting them and making their experience a simple and fun one. “We knew that with our previous platform our customers experienced a lot of pain points and with Taopix these pain points were no longer a problem,” he said. “Introducing Taopix to our customers was an easy process. We have seen significant increases in conversion rates and a large decline in support tickets logged by our customers since switching over to Taopix too.”

Headquartered in Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK, Taopix is a leading photo commerce and personalisation white-label platform.
