Potzkai to Oversee KBA Web Service

January 14, 2014  By PrintAction Staff

Thomas Potzkai is to lead Koenig & Bauer’s (KBA) web press services division in addition to his current area of responsibility as Vice-President and head of division web presses and project management. Jens Maul, after more than two years at the helm of web press after-sales services at KBA Jens Maul, has left the company at his own request as of 1 January 2014.

Maul joined KBA in October 2011 and began to restructure the company’s web press service activities. He helped start the PrintHouse Service (PHS) initiative at the beginning of 2012, headed by Steffen Dittmann. This subsidiary provides services like maintenance, repairs, retrofits and press relocations for third-party presses, as well as monitoring production systems at printing firms with on-site personnel.

Potzkai, 43, has held diverse technical management positions in his 27 years at KBA and, for the time being, plans to continue working within the platform established by Maul. Potzkai has experience in the development and customer support of commercial, gravure and newspaper web presses.
