March 18, 2014  By PrintAction Staff

Chris Pereira founded C17 in 2010 and now specializes on toner and large-format printing, as well as digital media creation.

Chris Pereira, founder and President of C17 Group Inc., was recognized as the Young Entrepreneur of the Year by the Richmond Hill Chamber of Commerce. He received the award on March 5 during a gala event at the Richmond Hill Centre for Performing Arts.

“In an industry that is often perceived as fading away, it was nice to get recognition for our growth as a young, small shop,” wrote Pereira in an email exchange with PrintAction. “Our motto is to exceed our clients’ expectations and, as a young team, we are able to provide creative solutions that allow our clients to stand out from the crowd.”

When Pereira began C17 Group in 2010, his operation was primarily focused on commercial printing. The shop now runs an Agfa Anapruna flatbed inkjet system, as well as a Kodak NexPress 2500 press.

In addition to specializing in large-format inkjet and toner-based printing, C17 has already evolved into handling digital media campaigns and graphic design, supported by its focus on providing analytics, for a growing client base. In February 2013, Pereira moved C17 Group into a larger facility on West Beaver Creek Road in Richmond Hill, Ontario.

C17 Group and its six full-time employees are also active in the local community, supporting a range of non-profit organizations like the Kingdom House Diamond Butterfly Gala and the Cambridge Cup.
