RyeTAGA Free Seminars at Graphics Canada

November 19, 2013  By PrintAction Staff

RyeTAGA, a group of third- and fourth-year students in Ryerson University’s Graphic Communications Management (GCM) program, are taking over the Innovations Theatre at Graphics Canada on Friday, November 22, to present four free seminars on emerging technologies in the printing industry.

Lead by GCM professor Martin Habekost, RyeTAGA is annually recognized as one of North America’s leading student groups engaged with the technological development of the printing industry. Every year, the GCM group wins top awards in the Technical Association of the Graphic Arts (TAGA) conference, which specifically focuses on advancing printing technologies.

In addition to the four RyeTAGA seminars (listed below), which are produced in cooperation with the GCM faculty, Graphics Canada will host three days of seminars and workshops, with presenters like Mark Lewiecki of Adobe Systems (PDF Print Engine), Dr. Abhay Sharma of Ryerson University (inkjet), Josh Ramsbottom of NorQuest College (business trends), Slava Apel of AmazingPrintTech (Web-to-print), Steve Suffoletto of Buffalo News (halftone screening), and Margie Dana (sales).
