Scotiabank Facility Installs New EBA Cutter

November 18, 2013  By PrintAction Staff

Scotiabank’s printing facility in the Greater Toronto Area has added an EBA 551LT paper cutter. The bank’s printing facility is described as holding a range of digital printing and finishing technologies, as well as a full mailing operation.

The hydraulic EBA 551LT cutter, purchased through Sydney Stone, is built on the same platform as the EBA 551 paper cutter but comes with a front and back lift table (as denoted by the LT extension). EBA cutters have been used in the market for more than 30 years. The recently launched EBA 551LT allows for up to 9,800 steps of programming and features a photocell safety guard.

“Scotiabank chose the EBA 551LT specifically with the lift table knowing the asset was a 15- to 20-year purchase and the lift table would make it easier on my staff to be quick, efficient and safe in cutting,” stated Rashad Shallwani, Manager of Distribution and Print Production, Scotiabank. “ The programming, photocell safety guard and adjustable clamping pressure were all added features that we see great value in on this new EBA 551L T cutter.”
